MUMBAI, INDIA STOCK EXCHANGE NEWS HEADLINES: - The benchmark Sensex ended with a loss of 87 points Friday on selling by funds in heavy-weight stocks in capital goods, metal and banking sectors, reports the India News Headlines. The Bombay Stock Exchange's 30-share index, which had lost 144 points Thursday, fell further by 86.53 points to 19,698.36. It touched the day's high of 19,838.03 and low of 19,472.51 points.
MUMBAI STOCK EXCHANGE NEWS HEADLINES: - The Mumbai Stock Exchange officials also reported that Stocks in the capital goods sector remained lost 262.16 points to 20,643.71, followed by metal index falling 241.69 points to 17,498.20. Banking segment index also fell 49.97 points to 11,003.05. The wide-based National Stock Exchange's Nifty fell by 5.25 points to 5,906.85. In a choppy trade, it touched the day's high of 5,948.50 and low of 5,817.40 points. However, surge in oil & gas and consumer durable sectors saved the market from any major fall. O&G index rose by 173.68 points to close at 12,479.56, while consumer durable index moved up by 132.27 points to 5,202.06.
