FORMER CHIEF MINISTER OF TAMIL NADU J JAYALALITHAA GIVEN A BULLET PROOF CAR BY TAMILNADU GOVERNMENT CHENNAI NEWS STORY
MADRAS NEWS HEADLINES: - The Tamil Nadu Government informed the Chennai High Court that a bullet-proof car had been provided to the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. The Tamil Nadu state government was replying to the writ petition filed by Jayalalithaa alleging that she was not being given adequate security cover under Z-plus category. Home Secretary S Malathy said that a 2007 model Ambassador car, along with a driver had been handed over to her Personal Security Officer and Inspector of Police, V Kuppuraj, on on 03November 2007. "This is a proof enough of the government's commitment in providing security to Jayalalithaa as per the Z plus category with NSG cover," the reply said.
