FRANCE NEWS HEADLINES: - Nine persons on board an Airbus A 340-600 aircraft, due for delivery to UAE carrier Etihad Airways, were injured when the Airbus A 340-600 sustained airframe damage at the manufacturer's headquarters in France, the Airbus A 340-600 manufacturing company officials said. Nine persons had sustained injuries in the Airbus A 340-600 aircraft accident, a press release by Abu Dhabi-based carrier Etihad said.
"Etihad Airways has been made aware of an incident involving an Airbus A340-600 type aircraft at the manufacturer's headquarters in Toulouse in France today," the release said on Thursday.
"We understand the Airbus A 340-600 aircraft was undergoing pre-delivery engine tests and the Airbus A 340-600 sustained airframe damage as a result of the incident. No Etihad Airways staff has been involved in this Airbus A 340-600 aircraft incident," it said.
The Airbus A 340-600 aircraft was scheduled to be delivered to Etihad Airways next week.
